Adoption Fees
• Under 1 year : $185
• 1-8 years old : $150
• 8 years and older: $125
**$50 discount if 2 adopted at the same time i.e. 2 kittens under 1 year = $320
What does your adoption fee cover? Why do you even charge?
Our adoption fees cover all medical work and care that was done prior to adoption. All cats will have age appropriate vaccines, are dewormed, microchipped, spayed/neutered, and if of age (6 months and over unless at Hunter's Kitten Lounge), tested for FIV/FeLV. We can test per owner request if under 6 months and not already done for an additional fee of $40.
Microchips will be registered for you for life by SACR via Petstablished. We are always a secondary contact in case anything happens in the future and the adopter cannot be contacted.
We are 100% volunteer run and operate solely on donations and adoption fees. Without adoption fees, we simply wouldn't exist as most cats/kittens cost us more than their adoption fees cover.
